Education: BS Fisheries HSU, Masters Applied Statistics (Marine Science minor) LSU Baton Rouge

Selected Employment: B&B Fisheries, Kodiak AK, Tom Lazio Fish Co, Eureka, CDFG Seasonal Aid, Ecological Analysts, Walnut Creek CA (now EA Engineering), LSU Dept Experimental Statistics, SAS Institute, Cary NC (software), freelance programmer / consultant. Now with Gilead Sciences, Foster City CA (pharmaceutical), in their statistical programming group and am neither a biologist nor a statistician these days.

Personal: Live in Alameda, CA, married to Patti of Baton Rouge, no children; we support some corpulent felines waiting for sashimi season.

Favorite fishing style: throwing iron at yellowtail! Almost anything else will do, too. These days most of my fishing is from Bay Area party boats during the summer for salmon, light tackle rockfish and the occasional Santa Cruz albacore trip. I also try to go south at least once a year for a few days of chasing pelagics on the San Diego boats, where the real fish swim.
